6 semesters of Procrastination

I’m in my last semester. whoever said that one could go back to school at “any” age is a big fat liar.

so i’ve been wasting my time doing this… -here is some of my juicy stuff TONS of work to do between TONS and TONS of school work. wonder if this will count…

ok so it’s supposed to b a video– another time… wasted the day away

Here we go… (when judging, I am a grown woman and we are not in a fourth mortgage yet. so mind your own business)[attempt at humor]

IMG_0212In a hurry–

but want to TRY and start bringing this all togheter.

just got a bunch of “stuff” in… so… we can start from there.

I sold my first item & need to get it ready & leave to the P.O. by 4… AND i’m supposed to be doing HW (always and of course)

wouldn’t be in the predicament if i werne’t in school ūüėČIMG_0213got this super cute Scottie (from here on out, it is a Scottie, Yorkie’s – no. other terriers. possibly. ¬†simple fact it is all black — we are going w/ Scottie. I had one growing up. ¬†I know my Scotties…)

I had seen this go for a lot (over 100$) in a few places. ¬†Bc of the way it was pictured/ discribed, i wasn’t even sure what it was for the longest…

found it for sorta reasonable and it said, “make an offer.” Nothing lost/ nothing gained. ¬†Well offer accepted (& it included shipping). ¬†I think this is a great piece.

I have stuff from today and yesterday… will post (i think– is that weird? I just buy a lot of crap)

but apprently people still like Juicy bc i am getting “repins” and not even trying (was doing it for ¬†me).

Now. I need to help FEED my habit… so hoping to get a blog going and start SELLING. (made my first sell)

Giving This a Go~

Not sure the name of the blog (if it will stay the same) OR how i will manage/ organize it… hang tight. ¬†plus. ¬†this IS NOT an online journal where I am going to bear my soul… I’ve got a therapist for that, thank you!

First to get some of these ideas implemented (in between HW).

I’m an old lady w/ old lady ADD which combined with Old Lady Disease – can be an exercise in simply being able to “keep pace,” or as some might say, know “what the hell am I talking about.”

Well, it is now 11:58 pm,¬†i started this hours ago (along w/ a mac game i downloaded for a ridiculous amount (I don’t even spend that much on jeans typically) and has literally taken me a complete reboot (which i wanted but took several tries) blah blah blah. Almost, possibly working.

Goodwill – Sourcing Buy by the POUND

Attempt 50061.

So, this is kinda interesting… Goodwill… Buy – by the pound. I didn’t take a picture of my car… but basically, I had stuffed (overflowing) full – about 4 BIG trash bags and 4 or so paper bags… I will make sure to document better next time.

I still very a little odd, not sure “why” people are there… but like me, for various reasons…

–The Quick & Dirty Deets–

These new fangled¬†phones… seriously.

Ahh, here we go. So I was trying to get a picture of the prices & people — w/out having someone come at me w/ a photo disclosure contract. ¬†I actually wasn’t charged any of these prices – but you get the idea (& the discretion of the cashier)

img_5257

Oh good, another (better) shot of prices & chance to have someone give me the evil eye!

As you can see, that is a bin full of STUFF. I believe someone was buying this stuff- who knows. it all looks the same. ¬†Just make sure, if there is a “blanket/ sheet,” or some¬†other covering: LEAVE IT ALONE IT IS NOT YOURS.

img_5262

Here (below) is what people are doing… some wear gloves. I did, the kind that Dr.’s wear and they promptly ripped. ¬†I do have some gardening gloves… but – it’s all dirty and I did get a scratch and haven’t gotten a staph infection (but it is early).

At the top of the hour, they bring in “new goods” (on top of – some – old junk from the last go around, but not too often).

If it has been at any (surrounding) goodwill for longer than 6 wks, it comes to this place. after “people” (myself included, it can get a bit frenzied) they turn it into mulch or something. It is very orderly, I was kinda warned about non-Wednesday (regulars have other things to attend to?!)

I found the whole second experience – the same. Though I didn’t have some woman talking to me about shoes she liked, while I was trying to be nice- then realizing, she is crazier than myself… (slowly move on).img_5258

So this (below) is the good part. Top of the hour and we are all herded behind the yellow line. Where a VERY serious person yells the rules and then, like school lunch, releases sections. Um really? Are we really trying to be civilized at this point in the game?

But people seem game. & I don’t really¬†care. The entire time “new” items were coming out, there was only one thing I wanted, and someone else got it, which was fine, b/c I do not need another jewelry box (& it was kind of big!)

img_5261img_5260Then the magic moment is yelled and pretty much, whoever is standing in front of a bin, already knows what they want.

For every “full” bin, next to it, is an empty one, toss the stuff you do not want, into that “empty” bin. ¬†As you can imagine, it doesn’t stay empty very long. ¬†There are VERY VERY heavy items. I didn’t have overly aggressive people that particular day, so it was generally OK.

I was the last person to leave. But the guy right before I left, had arrived at 6:30 in the morning to get in line… I guess they let some people line early? I don’t know & right now, don’t care enough to feel indignant, lol.

need to get to HW.

but my total was 58.xx and I had 82.2 pounds that I was buying (that includes tax). I could easily see where this could become an addiction. But РWe will see how I feel once we move.  I actually prefer Estate Sales~

This place closes at 2, which is nice for me… CUT OFF at a reasonable time… I can shop forever!

Leave me a comment if you have ever been to one of these, or have any questions!!!

Well. i’m still here.

still buying charms. i stop every once in awhile bc i can’t seem to sand and shellac my jewelry boxes… so my pretties are just all stacked up. Husband is like – uh. and i’m all like “uh” back… since he has all but taken up the “bar” counter in the kitchen and he has an ENTIRE room he can do as he wishes… plus. i always sell our house. This time, it will b the JC collection sitting pretty on the bookshelves ūüėČ

so, i really want to separate those “DYI charms” thoughts? keep it together or separate? separate ? good answer!!!

Junk jewelry

Unlike on the bay- these guys really do NOT go through & take all the good stuff… though I’m sure the do a quick peek for high value- but it’s gotta b easy to see- & more than likely – consigner prob especially pointed it out-

So this is 20$ in junk jewelry- if I can ever get caught up in… anything- I’ve got a million $ to sell in jewelry!!

The front opened was 10$ – the smaller bag to L, 7$ & big gallon ;not close to full/ just descriptive) 5$ & prob worth the most. I will post the best items…

I also wash all my jewelry- including JC charms, in oxy & hot water & rinse & rinse some more.

I didn’t do that when I first started buying/ but got a junk jewelry bag & it smelled like gross playground metal.

My JC charms / necklaces look brand new. It’s amazing.  I HAVE lots a stone here or there- but worth the trade off

Buy Bling Score!

Look what I got for $12.00

Hmmm I’m doing this w/ my phone- fast , easy , & pictures r more accessible- yes I have iCloud & I think all my pics r up there- but changed / different settings amongst linked phone, pad, computer… I actually CAN/ “do” take pictures- but phone is obvs better & we live in a “good enough” world/ fast – immediate.

As we begin to lose….

CHECK IT OUT – my new storage display system!

An Addiction to Juicy Couture Charms

I have been trying out different ways to store my charms for quite some time now but never found something I was 100% happy with. I know a lot of fellow collectors use a massive jewelry box but i didn‚Äôt like how that system looked ‚Äď I suppose I need more of a ‚Äúwow‚ÄĚ factor than a regular jewelry chest. I am also pretty tight on space, so I didn‚Äôt want to commit to something that took up a whole corner or occupied my entire dresser. Other collectors use a shadowbox display, which is more similar to mine, however I am a perfectionist so I wanted my version to look more professionally polished and uniform.

As a result of many attempts of trial and error, I now have my charm storage display system. Each display box can hold up to 49 different charms, which sit on hooks that I installed…
